Sweden, which presides at present in YES, developed collective strategy on the fight with the sexual exploitation of women and children. According to the ambassador of Sweden to the Ukraine, who presented project in Kiev, in the countries of Euro-union in the sphere of sex- business occupied several hundred thousands of woman- foreigners, including from the Ukraine. European authorities are intended to find and to return them to the native land. However, Swedish ambassador noted, today in the Ukraine practically there are no structures, which could help in the psychological and social rehabilitation of victims. Project "resistance to trade of Ukraine women" - it is intended for creating similar structures. In particular, within the framework of this project of 300 Ukraine women, returned home because of the boundary, will be obtained concrete aid. Furthermore, project provides for the number of the measures, directed toward prevention of trade by women and by the children.
At the presentation of project also appeared the vice- premier of the Ukraine Nikolai Zhulinskiy, who reported that in 1999 the Ukrainian authorities verified and deprived licenses 125 firms, which were being occupied by job placement abroad. In 2000 years, according to the vice- premier, a similar checking they passed the 300 additional firms, 14 of which were also deprived of licenses. Vice- premier noted also that in two last year according to the articles, which foresee punishment for the trade by people, in the Ukraine are excited 55 criminal cases.
