In connection with the manifestations of cruelty and violence on the television screens, in video products and computer games the all-Ukrainian public organization of the "women of the Ukraine - for democracy and validity" began action "above the entire Ukraine - pure air" and is turned to compatriots for the support. Organization proposes to all, to whom "it is not unimportant, that we see on the television screens, into what computer games our children play, in what society they live", to achieve a constant review of the telecasts, in which, in their opinion, it is conducted "amoral propaganda", and to direct to the association of letter with the estimations and the proposals. Organization also initiates the creation of highly professional expert group on the development and the implementations of the program of public control over "dirty air".
"Ukrainian women cannot but disturb the manifestation of the amoral bacchanalia, which demonstrate on the screens more than 500 particular video-radio organizations of the country", it is noted in the statement. The obvious case of that, how the stereotypes of violence, terrorism, crime entered into the consciousness of people, the representatives of association call the fact that on 11 September the Manhattan skyscrapers, which were destroyed and they fell from the exploding airliners, by many spectators were received as the fragment of sequential hit.
The authors of document remind that as early as 1997 the head of the social-democratic party of the Ukraine (united) Victor Medvedchuk developed and presented for consideration by supreme bill of Ukraine, directed against the propaganda of violence, cruelty, pornography, which, until now was not examined even in first reading.
