Marriages of Russian ladies with foreigners have an old history. The first wave of intercultural marriages coincides with the first wave of emigration from Russia after the revolution. I call it noble as brides were perfect, from high society. It is not pleasant to say but still I must do it, as there are many certificates and it is proved that prostitution in those times accompanied or anticipated marriages with foreigners. In Istanbul turkish wives even have addressed the government with the request to defend their husbands from Russian ladies which tempt their husbands with the noble origin and causing manners.
The second wave of intercultural marriages is called front and is connected to violent movings people during the Second World War.
The third wave takes place at the beginning of 60th (and proceeds to this day) when Africans began to come to our country to study. The result - 10000 marriages. I call these marriages exotic as a black man was a kind of exotics for our Russian ladies.
The fourth wave began with the appearing off market relations in Russia. I call it tactical or market. For the first time beautiful and family-oriented Russian ladies began to be considered as the goods, which are not valued in the internal marriage market.
