Our emotional state happens to be mostly not directed: in reality we need one and we are anxious about something else. We are always in the state of so-called emotional chaos. Moreover we got used to sharing our emotions with others, we don't divide them into 'yours' and 'mine'. This creates an aura of emotional generosity in which people feel comfortable.
Everyone marks, that Russian ladies are more emotional and less rational, than the Americans. The man would like to have a wife who is unlike him. It is good both in intimate sphere and at economic planning family. It is pleasant for an American, when the rational part is delegated to him , and around there is something pleasant, directed to him , but not demanding from him some active participation - a cosiness in the house, gifts to his relatives, dinner on your anniversary of wedding. We have got used to this, and for Americans it is a pleasant surprise which they, certainly, appreciate. The drama period in development of intercultural family begins after you give birth to children, and this difficult period is connected with getting older and educating the child: our educational systems and systems of bringing up are very much different.
