Everyone has a unique personality that comprises hundreds, and maybe even thousands of subtle features of one's soul, mind and psychology. Every person has a genetic code that consists of millions of physical and other characteristics. To find an "ideal" partner, Christian singles would have to assume that God had especially created a person, whose characteristics would ideally match your own. However, God does not specially create every person by an individual creation act. It happens through natural biological processes.
However, there is one thing God would do for you if you ask Him. He will lead you to the person who will best match your personality, your background, your desires, and whose genetic code, complete with your own, would be able to produce offspring that would be pleasing for both God and the parents. In terms of math, this choice seems incredible. This is why we have hope for the endless wisdom of our Lord in choosing our marriage partners for us.
All the same, it does not follow that a person looking for a husband or wife has to sit at home and wait for God to send someone to him or her, for someone to knock on the door. It is appropriate to ask God to lead you to such places where you can easily meet Christian singles, for example, church communities, study groups or other places that unite people according to faith or interests. There are a lot of places, which give you an opportunity to meet an appropriate marriage partner. God will take you to your future wife or husband, if you give him the opportunity to do so.
Remember: if you feel you are one of Christian singles, only the person who has Christ within his or her soul could be considered to be an "ideal" spouse for you.
