The American marriage is some kind of serial monogamy rather than life affection, especial in the big cities. Almost half of marriages result in divorces. "Family" for Americans is a classical set consisting of mum, daddy and children. The fact that such families become the increasing rarity doesn't worry them. But not all Russian Christian singles know about this willing to move to the USA.
The necessary symbol of ideal family there is a jobless wife, a careful, economic mum who meets children from school with fresh domestic cookies. Such mums are still met, but die out as mammoths. Kids are given into a kindergarten or being thrown up to relatives or neighbors; more senior children are sent to school, and then stay there for the prolonged day. Working parents, especially those who have a very responsible work spend with children few hours and bring them up not with quantity but with quality.
Children learn to be independent and circumspect and beginning with their childhood they are being inspired self-respect. The American parents treat their offsprings with fawning courtesy what is not expected from one parent - European: "What do you want for breakfast, fruit ringlets or rice balls? And is so much milk enough? Well all right, all right, now I shall pour out from this bowl and I shall pour in a bowl with a bear". The culture focused on children, "Donald Ducks" penetrate into each house, creeps in conversations and is splashed out from TV screens. All evenings and days off are devoted to children. Domestic tasks in American schools are trifles, so that children have plenty of time to loll about watching TV.
It is accepted to save children from all conceivable risks and dangers. Together with it, the first bicycle the American kid receives with the first bicycle helmet as a gift. On the other hand, in many families, as soon as children receive driver license (usually in sixteen years), parents buy cars for them. From such cherished, "domestic" children the present Americans - self-confident, vainglorious, quick and cheerful - grow.
